Bishop Ezeokafor Felicitates with Muslim Community-----Calls for Peaceful Co-existence

The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor has felicitated with Muslims all over the world as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Kabir with a call on them to use the period to pray for the unity of Nigeria and as well make peace their watch-word.

Bishop Ezeokafor who gave the felicitation message at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka shortly after re-dedicating the renovated old St. Patrick’s Cathedral said meaningful development could not take place in a chaotic environment and urged all to embrace peace and love which he said was the only solution to insecurity in the country.

He said with peace, respect for human life, sincerity of purpose and love for one another corruption and terrorism would be a thing of the past. The Catholic prelate while felicitating with the Muslim Community enjoined all religious leaders to always practice what they preach and also shun any act capable of bringing the nation to disrepute.

Bishop Ezeokafor who congratulated Muslims and wished them happy celebration stressed the need of peace for the continued existence of Nigeria.
