Their eviction notwithstanding, the contestants expressed their feelings and gratitude to the show.
“I am happy for taking part in the Big Brother Africa show for 2014. It has been wonderful and I don’t pretend, I was actually myself throughout,’’ Afegbai said.
On his part, Esther said: “I am happy for coming this far. Africans have decided and it was for a reason, I feel good.’’
It was revealed that nine contestants were nominated by their fellow housemates for eviction a week before then, while Africans decided on who would be saved or evicted.
Among the other seven nominated contestants for eviction but were saved are Sabina from Kenya; JJ – Zimbabwe; Frankie – Rwanda, and Permithias – Namibia
Others include Lavenda from Tanzania, who was titled ‘Sexiest'; Ella, the beauty queen from Uganda, and Tayo, the remaining Nigerian in the house to compete for 300,000 dollars (about N49.5 million).
Adding glamour to the eviction ceremony, the BBA presenter, Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa, simply known as IK, called on a Kenyan group “Maladi” to come serenade the audience with their singing performance.
As Samantha, head of her team was given an opportunity to nominate a person for eviction, she chose Ellah, stating that she seems to be the strongest person from the other team.
The  remaining 22 contestants, including the only remaining Nigerian, will be competing for the sum of 300,000 dollars (about N49.5 million) for the winner. (NAN)
