Borno Government Appeal To Parents To Release Their WardsTo Come To School

Borno state government has appealed to parents in the state today, after the re-opening of public primary schools in Maiduguri last week, to allow their wards to back to school.
Chairman of the State Committee on the Resuscitation of Primary School Education,Dr Mohammed Dongel made appeal in Maiduguri, after studies carried out after one week of resumption date, less than 13 per cent of the students showed up in the state public schools.

He assured that the state and federal government have made adequate security provision in all schools in Borno state, noted there is no cause for alarm of further insurgents invasion into the state public schools.
His Word; “I want to assure parents that government has made adequate security provisions in all schools for the protection of teachers and pupils. Parents should endeavour to send their children to school,”Dr Mohammed Dongel assured.
Dongel made the appeal during an interview with journalists in Maiduguri and explained  the State Government preparedness to ensure that  adequate provision for the security of teachers and pupils in schools is maintained.
It would be recalled that shortly after the kidnap of over 267 girls from the government secondary school, chibok, Maiduguri, parents and teachers have abdicated their living houses and schools in major villages in the state to prevent further Boko Haram insurgents invasion in their territories.
