Dayo Adeneye loses APC to ticket to imposition by party elders

On Air Personality, Dayo Adeneye, popularly known as D1, lost the opportunity to fly the flag of the All Progressives Congress for Odogbolu area of Ogun State to imposition and not to a more acceptable aspirant, reports available have shown.
An unpopular aspirant was said to have been imposed on others on Monday night.
Hence there was no primaries on Tuesday.
Sources told Ashiwaju.org  that the decision to anoint one of the aspirants was taken at a meeting described as “nocturnal” on Monday night, leading to protest by others who felt shortchanged.
It was gathered that contrary to the claims that the primaries was held, votes were only allocated by party chieftains.
Sources said the people of Odogbolu and its environs are not happy about the development.
They have threatened to vote against the party if the development was not reversed.
It was learnt that Adeneye restored the glory of the APC in Odogbolu after the indigenes became despondent with the party.
That was about two months ago when Adeneye declared his intention to run for the House of Assembly seat.
The town, before then, was divided between the Social Democratic Party and the Peoples Democratic Party.
But Adeneye went from house to house, mobilizing the citizenry to come out, register and vote for their own candidate of change.
Efforts made to reach Adeneye to comment on this development proved abortive, but sources close to him said he will always be loyal to the APC and would do all in his capacity to ensure his party’s success at the upcoming general election.
