Ambode asks Lagosians to shun tribal, religious sentiments

Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has urged Lagosians not to be influenced by tribal and religious sentiments in the general elections.
He said instead, the residents should vote for the party that would bring about good governance and betterment of their lives.
Ambode added that the residents of the state should reject being influenced by the Greek gift of the Peoples Democratic Party in voting against their conscience.
Ambode, who noted that the President and the leadership of the PDP had turned Lagos to their second home in the last few weeks in order to buy the conscience of Lagosians, said the PDP would fail woefully in the elections.

The APC spoke on Monday during the APC campaign rally in the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area.
Ambode stated that Lagosians had resolved to vote massively for Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) the presidential candidate of the party, in spite of the campaign of calumny against him.
He said, “The election should not be about tribe, but should be about development and betterment of our lives. The leadership of the PDP has been coming to Lagos since last week. If they like, they should sleep in Lagos, we will give them bed. Who has Lagos? It is APC. Come March 28, we will vote Buhari.”
The APC governorship candidate promised to improve on water transportation and provide ferry service from the Mile 2 to Okokomaiko area of the state, if elected into office.
He promised to complete all ongoing projects of the present administration and establish youth empowerment scheme.
The Governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorochas, in his address described Ambode as a caring and kind-hearted person, who would not fail or disappoint the people if voted into office.
A former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, reminded the people that poverty did not have religion or ethnic group.
He added that the people should push out the party that was playing tribal and religious cards.
Also present at the event were the state Governor, Babatunde Fashola; Deputy Governor, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire and members of the Akinwunmi Ambode Komittee of Friends, among others.
