The Palace of The Emir of Gwoza reportedly taken over by Boko Haram militants who have appointed their "emir"to govern the township Sahara Reporters Media A tweet to that effect was posted to Defence Headquarters handle “DefenceInfoNG: FLASH: Troops this morning captured Gwoza destroying the Headquarters of the Terrorists self styled Caliphate.#NeverAgain”
Defence Spokesperson, Major General Chris Olukolade will address the press on the development today.
