President GOODLUCK Jonathan has shown leadership by putting the interest of our country first. His commitment to a credible, free and fair election and ensuring a violence free post election is commendable.
Today, whether you're PDP, APC, KOWA, APA or ACPN - whatever your political affiliation - we can all hold our heads high and be proud of our country and budding democracy - which is definitely here to stay.
As for the upcoming gubernatorial elections in Lagos, our work doesn't
end here. The peoples clamour for change that has swept the nation
continues. Next week Saturday, it will be our turn. But this will not
come easy - by any stretch of the imagination. Although I've always
considered myself as the underdog in this race, we know that we have a
pretty good chance if only we all put our hands on deck and ensure that
we see this through.
Lagosians, this is our moment, this is our time. Our dream for a more inclusive, more transparent, more progressive government is here if only we have the courage to take it.
