Obi, Obiano Media War: Bishop Ezeokafor Sues for Peace ...Charges Them to Rein in Their Supporters

BY ABUCHI ONWUMELU, AWKA
The Catholic bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor has finally broken his long awaited silence over the social media war involving the supporters of the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Chief Sir Peter Obi and his successor, Chief Willie Obiano, noting that the duo's silence over the unwarranted mudslinging can be construed as tacit approval by them
Bishop Ezeokafor who stated this at St. Patrick's Catholic Cathedral, Awka while fielding questions from newsmen,

charged both Sir Peter Obi and Chief Willie Obiano to condemn their supporters’ negative behaviour, noting that the reports so far about the two gentlemen were far from edifying.
His words, 'Let them not tell us that they are not aware of these social media reports.
They should call their supporters to order. They are not doing them any good. When you look at the  type of falsehood these people peddle on the internet, you shudder. It's so damaging and personally I will not support it. Let them do something about it.
'We need peace which comes with unity. Though political differences are inevitable, it is only in peace that the majority will have richer lives,' he said.
