Obiano Solicits F.G's intervention on Failed Nkpor Flyover over Swept By Erosion Menace


Governor Willie Obiano has called on the Federal Government to urgently intervene on the Nkpor Flyover that has been cut off by erosion.
The Governor made the call yesterday in NKpor Flyover, Idemili North council area while inspecting the level of devastation done in the area.

He regretted that similar Federal Government project worth of 25 billion naira executed for Federal Govt previously, has not been remitted to Anambra State coffer.
Chief Obiano assured that he has directed a road construction company known as Infrastructure Development Company (IDC) to apply palliative measure on the road pending the intervention of the federal government.

Lamar Odom Allegely blocked own father from visiting him


Odom’s father, Joe Odom, said Wednesday night that Khloe Kardashian is in charge of who gets to visit Odom at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and that she refuses to put him on the list. Police release pro-Biafra activists (Supporters)


The 17 protesting members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who were arrested by the Anambra State Police Command, have been released.
Police spokesman Ali Okechukwu said those released were 13 women and four men who were protesting the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu.

Ouattara won a total of 2,118,229 votes, or 83.66 percent of ballots cast.

How Locally Made Arms Made In S/East Dominate Int'l Market


Presidential  Committee on Small Arms and Light Weapons, PRESCOM, stakeholders’ sensitization forum, held at Enugu for South East zone, has revealed that about 60 per cent of the illegal arms in the zone are produced locally.
Professor Aloysius Okolie, who is the South East coordinator on House Survey, of PRESCOM,   made the revelation during a two-day stakeholders’ sensitization forum on the comprehensive national Small Arms and Light Weapons, SALW,  survey in Nigeria,at Villa Toscana Hotel, Enugu.
He said that  60 per cent are fabricated locally in Nigeria and “some communities are known for their natural fabrication of arms,” adding that politicians were part of  arms proliferation in the area and most of the political leaders helped in the importation and fabrication of arms.           The sensitization forum tagged, ‘All Hands on Deck,’ also revealed that “40 per cent of the arms are imported by the political leaders and the rest 60 per cent fabricated within the zone.”

The Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Jos, the Plateau State capital has upheld the election of Governor, Simon Lalong of All Progressives Congress, APC.

Some Biafra secessionists have torn their Nigerian passports to press home their demand for the breakaway of the South-East from the Nigerian state. Pro-Biafra activists tear Nigerian passports.

Embattled Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has declared that he remains the governor of the oil-rich state, despite the conspiracy of the ruling party and the election tribunal in Abuja.
Governor Wike made the declaration today, while addresing a crowd of party supporters at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa.
The governor who was accompanied by his deputy, Ipalibo Banigo, and other high ranking party officials of the Peoples Democratic Party, said his legal training did not allow him criticize the ruling of a judge, saying that the verdict given by the tribunal was not God’s ruling.
“By my training I am not supposed to criticize any Judge for his opinions, but I have to say that the tribunal has given its verdict, but we know by the special grace of God, it is not God’s verdict,” he said.

Veteran Actress, Maureen O'Hara, the flame-haired Irish movie star who appeared in classics ranging from the grim "How Green Was My Valley" to the uplifting "Miracle on 34th Street" and bantered unforgettably with John Wayne in several films has died. She was 95.

O'Hara died in her sleep at her home in Boise, Idaho, said Johnny Nicoletti, her longtime manager.
