Police uncovers ammunition bank I. Agulu

The commissioner of police Anambra state, Sam Okaula has called on residents of the state to make public any suspected hideout for criminal activities & assured their identity would be of utmost confidentiality.
Addressing newsmen at Umuowelle community, Agulu, in Antiocha LGA, where storage of ammunitions were unearthed, worth millions of naira. 
He stressed the need for the people to provide police  with  genuine information to uncover hideouts of criminals whose stock in trade has been to course insecurity in the state.
Commissioner Okaula who confirmed the discovery of a large ammunition bank  buried at  Umuowelle community of Aniocha LGA , revealed  that the success would not have been possible without the help of labourers working on the farm land who saw the ammunition buried in the farm  and reported same to  the nearest police division in the LGA.
He announced that his men are battle ready to sustain the peaceful atmosphere being  enjoyed in the state.

He disclosed that no arrest has been made,while the ammunition had been referred to the appropriate quarters to determine the calibre of the recovered ammunition.
