NANS alleges multiple taxation on it transport scheme in Anambra.

The national association of Nigeria student NANS Anambra state chapter alleges that it transport scheme has continued to suffer in the hands of some perceive government officials who impose heavy taxation on it drivers

The scheme which was meant to provide easy transportation to student within the state according to them has been victims of various attack by hoodlums who in the name of internally generated revenue and ticketing waylay their drivers, in most cases students in the bus at that particular point in time gets injured and  loose their valuables.
Leaders of NANS in the bid to relate their grievances took to the street, according to the student who lamented over the ills perpetuated against them said they can no longer continue with the menace as it greatly affects them.
The Enugu-Awka expressway was under siege for couple of hours over what the students tagged as  a move to checkmate act of multiple taxation melted at its members by agents of Anambra state Internally Generated Revenue board.
  The protesters, who were seen with placard bearing different inscriptions barricaded the entrance of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University causing serious traffic congestion, it took the concerted effort of the men of the Nigeria police force Anambra state command led by deputy commissioner of police DCP Joseph Kokumo to get the road freed for trapped motorist, he however assured maximum security within the arena and the state at large.

Effort made to reach the government agency and leadership of the Anambra state shuttle welfare association who were alleged to be the cause of the squabbles proves abortive.
