Chief of Army Staff, lieutenant General Tukur Attahiru-Buratai is assuring the people of Anambra state that the presence of his men in and around Awka would boost the level of security standard in the state.
He pledged that the 30 days programme would be geared towards training and equipping men of the Nigerian Army with knowledge on intelligence gathering to enhance the security situation in the state.
He stated this in Awka at the formal launch of Operation Python dance, instituted to address insecurity situation in the south eastern part of the Country.
Taking the Anambra state governor Willie Obiano round the military facilities mounted to carry out the 30 days intelligence gathering and re-training of the men of the Nigerian Army under the 82 Division in Enugu supervision, the Chief of Defense staff guarantees that his men’s presence in the state was to carry out their constitutional function of complementing other security operatives to maintain internal security of the country.
He said the exercise was in line with the federal government directive to achieve a crime free environment in all nooks and crannies of the Country.

The 30 days operation python dance was designed to train and develop intelligence gathering among security operatives in the state to achieve desired aim of fighting insecurity and maintain peaceful coexistence among the citizens living in the state without fear of molestation.
