The struggle to occupy the seat of power thickens as Engr. Bart Nwibe joins the onslaught to seize power in next Governorship election .
All aspirants have continued indicates interest to capture power at the Government House which draws closer, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state has said its structure in the 336 wards across the state is poised to fill in candidate that will unseat the incumbent governor, Chief Willie Obiano come this year’s election.
The State Chairman of the party, Emeka Ibe, a lawyer, said this in Awka, when a governorship aspirant, Engr. Bart Nwibe and his campaign team met with the party’s State Executives at its secretariat to disclose his interest to pick the APC ticket for the forthcoming guber poll. He pointed out that APGA-led government lacks courage to lead the people of the state given “their poor performance in the last three years.”
“What I am saying with full confidence is that APC is now ready for the Anambra 2017 gubernatorial election. Our structures across the 336 wards are ready, and I am confident we will win the election.”
He said that within six months of assumption of office, the APC would have shown Ndi Anambra through qualitative leadership that it has all it takes to lead them to the Promised Land through effective grassroots governance.
Earlier, the governorship hopeful, Engr. Bart Nwibe, said that as an experienced technocrat, he has what it takes to salvage Anambra State from the ramshackle of poor governance.
“Igbo land is in disarray today because Anambra which provides leadership for Igbo nation got it wrong. We have to correct it in this 2017. I will develop a blueprint to develop the South East starting from Anambra” he said.
