Breaking: CP Lagos Owoseni bows out, Edgal in

The confusion which greeted the recent redeployment of Fatai Owoseni out of Lagos State as Commissioner of Police, seems to have been settled, as Owoseni has handed over to his successor, Imohimi Edgal. Owoseni & Imohimi This came as the new Lagos CP, assured residents of round the clock security, stating that command would go all out to fight crime and criminality and ensure the safety of lives and properties. Edgar, also ordered Divisional Police Officers within state, during a briefing at the Police Officers Mess Ikeja, to report at their various divisions and provide adequate security for residents of the state during the Eid-Mubarak celebration. ‎ During the handing over ceremony which was witnessed by some senior principal officers of the Command, it was stated that at no point in time did the former CP Lagos state refuse to disobey the lawful directives of the
Inspector General of Police IGP Ibrahim K Idris by handing over to his successor. The Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole disclosed further that CP Fatai Owoseni wishes the officers and ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole of the command all the best under the leadership of the Commissioner of police Lagos state Ag/COMPOL Edgar Imohimi at the officer’s mess , a conference of senior officers area commander’s DPO’s and HOD’s were all present today 31st August 2017. “The official brief from the outgoing CP Fatai Owoseni to officers was to devote the same official capacity they once had with him to the efforts of the new CP to continue to make Lagos state peaceful and crime free. The Ag/COMPOL Edgar Imohimi had a quick security brief with the officers for the public holiday and warned officers to make sure the sallah break is hitch free with robust police visibility.” “He also told Area commanders and DPO’s to confine their officers and men to the barrack for effective policing during the festive period. ”
