Warri conflict, bloodshed changed my writings —Efemena, UK-based writer

He witnessed the Warri crisis during Abacha’s regime and that changed his entire being. Born and raised in Warri, Delta State, Efemena Agadama, a UK based Isoko writer, got his National Diploma in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic Oko before proceeding to University College Kensington, London where he bagged a Higher National Diploma in Computing. The writer who later got his Masters in Information Technology at the Cardiff Metropolitan University, Wales, in this interview, shares the transformation his writings have undergone over the years. At what point did you decide to become a writer?

2015: How Jonathan, Oshiomhole fell apart

It was the first time Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State will be blowing so hot against President Goodluck Jonathan. Unlike other governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Comrade Governor had hardly attacked the President publicly even though he may not be satisfied with the way the country is being run. He apparently tried to avoid situations that will warrant him attacking Jonathan. And that was why his recent tirade against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led government came as a shock to many.

Anambra :DSS Parades 8 Suspects for Car Snatching

The Department of State Services (DSS), Anambra Command has arrested eight suspects who snatches car from their owners at gun point in different parts of the state.

The state Director of Security, Mr Alexander Okeiyi, who paraded the suspects in Awka on Wednesday before newsmen, said that four vehicles snatched and sold by the gang were recovered by the command.

He gave the names of seven of the suspects as Chizoba Agwuike, Kingsley Okpara, Arinze Nweke, Onyedika Okoye, Uche Ike, Kelvin Umeh and Uche Chibuzo.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) on Thursday advised motorists to adhere strictly to traffic rules to reduce the high incidences of death caused on high ways.

FRSC Sector Commander in Anambra, Mr Sunday Ajayi, gave the advice in Awka while briefing newsmen on this year’s Africa Road Safety Day/ World Remembrance Day of Road Crash Victims.
