IJESA PEOPLE: BEFORE WE THROW OFF THE BEAUTIFUL BABY WITH THE BATHWATER AND REVERSE THE PACE OF OUR RESOLUTION TO GROW

This is not about Party A or Party B. This is not about my Party is more righteous than your Party. For every ljesa man or woman, young or old , '2014 Osun Decides' will surely decides who we are as ljesas, 2014 Osun Decides is more of the collective aspiration of people who are in the Six Local Government Areas of the State of Osun which make them 1/5 total population of the State
So, if you are one of those ljesa who instead of working for the reelection of your kinsman, but who at this eleventh hour has now turned yourself to 'an emergency social critic' of Ogbeni's administration, his political bill board destroyer or campaign manager of Omisore, I have got this to tell you, I have got this to tell the Diran Odeyemis , the Johnson Olukotuns , the Wole Okes, the Ebenezer Babatopes , the Francis Fadahunsis, the Ibukun Fadipes, the Sogo Agboolas etc,etc.. "if Rauf Aregbesola fails, all ljesas fail", We shall be the looser for it and its repercussions will be too tough for our historic Ijesa nationhood.
Why? Hold my hands and follow me as I dissect it as it affects us as a people bonded in one tongue and history. Since the inception of the State of Osun,we have never have it so good like this until Providence smiled at us and gave to us the foremost seat of the state. The highest we had ,was the deputy. Of what use ,is a spare when the authentic tire is not tired? So it has been catalogues of woes and marginalization until now.
Fine,Aregbesola, just like you and I,cannot be said to be without his own shortcomings but the sincerity of his administration can be seen by all except those who seem to be dissatisfied with the change he has brought to our polity. Change is a difficult process which we know average human beings particularly those benefiting from the status quo will want to resist. But I think we need to be objective with the choice we have got and rally round to ensure we do not have to cry over split milk.
Aregbesola is our son,a proud son that has done us proud. He is a brand that every Ijesaman can flaunt without shame or fear ,he has a clean bill of health ,that distinguishes him from other brands of politicians. So ,I do not think we have reasons to disown him, alieniate him and be parties to rail him off the track of positioning our state to meet the 21st century pace of global development. Yes ,few of his policies, may seem to be creating dissonance within polity, Obamacare is daily being criticize despite the passive benefits and inherent gains to the masses. We have called his attentions to all these and he has heeded and to further take up new policies that will engender friendly benefits and be more masses oriented. It will be a big slap to us as a nation to loose this seat first ever since creation of Osun to unpopular and candidate that has no matching records with our son and brother.
No matter how beautiful your neighbor's daughter could, nature dictates ,you will have preference of donning your daughter with the much expensive waist beads. Then,in a case, when we already have a beautiful daughter, why scouting for an 'alien'? Why do we have to give our dinner to someone who shares no passion ,history or concern with us? Why do we have to hate one of us to admiration of that who holds no pride for us?
Before you tagged me to be political or tribalistic, please ,let go through the impending losses,if we loose Aregbesola ,as a people who have be denied of so much despite what we have contributed to the development of the state in human and capital.
We currently have 3 Senatorial Zones in the State of Osun which comprises of 6 Geopolitical Zones/Districts: ljesa ,lfe,Osun,Oyo, lgbomina and subsets of Ibarapa people.
Now, naturally all these zones are entitled to present governor or become governor, yet it is natural that one zone cannot lay perpetual claim to the seat all the time. It critical to know every zone wants it their way. Each of the zone has done it round even a zone has done a period of almost 12 years.
By the time governance goes round these 6 geopolitical zones or at minimum 3 senatorial district at one term each, ljesa people can only present a candidate in 24 years time and if we are to run 2 terms each, then, we are looking at least 44 years time, which means(Gods sparing our life) I would have to wait till I am in my 90s before I will witness another ljesa man or woman as a Governor!!!
So my friends, if you are an ljesa man or woman will you please consider the above facts before you 'BETRAY ' your people on August 9th? It will be suicidal for our Ijesanationhood of our pride to balloon opportunity of a century on the altar of ego or hate. We can call his attention,we can advise on how best we feel he should run the government,we can lend him our insights,we can indeed support him at this material time and ensure that he coast home to victory.
Permit me to state that ,if Aregbesola has been of PDP even with these performances and pride to my tribe of Ijesa,I will still do same without hesitation.
We are all significant. We are all stakeholders and we have got to give our best to help our own. The shortest route to brighter evolution of our race is what we have got
Yes,he may not be the best within us,but the best brain within us home and abroad, can and should please ,help him sail this ship through.
Failure to one Ijesaman at the top ,is failure to the entire race. Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola must succeed !!
Baba re a gbe o!
