SPEED LIMIT DEVICE : FRSC LAUDS MOTORISTS COMPLIANCE IN ANAMBRA STATE

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra command, Sunday Ajayi, reiterates the agency resolve to impound trucks and commercial vehicles found not to have installed the Speed Limit device ahead of the October 1 deadline date in the state.
He said though, the compliance level in the state is encouraging but buoyed to ensure that it’s enforcement is been carried out to meet up with the corps required date for the commencement of the vehicular auto speed control device.

The sector commander made this known in Awka, while chatting with newsmen, stating the command determination to ensure the national directives on speed limit device installation in trucks and commercial vehicles  are been carried out to the later.
Ajayi lauded the cooperation of fleet operators in Anambra state, urged them to continue the training and retraining of their drivers on the use of the speed limiting device.
While reacting to the danger in the last four months of the year known as “Ember Months, ”He warned motorists on the hazard in over-speeding, said safety should be inculcated in the daily living of every motorist.
Sector commanded further affirmed the command’s readiness to keep the road safe for commuters but enjoined them to assist the command and Nigerians to celebrate an accident free ember months period.
Correspondent, Ajayi Bamidele reports that some major fleet operators are seen to have complied with the corps clarion call by fixing the speed limiter devices in their vehicles, while some were seen at the FRSC headquarters Awka, for proper guidance and retraining of their drivers on the use of the device.
