Inter party advisory council, Anambra state chapter has issued a three month statutory notice on the state Governor Willie Obiano, to put in place mechanism for the conduct of local government elections into the 21 Local Government Areas in the state .
The political party committees told President Muhammad Buhari to withhold forthwith,funds accrue able to Local Government system from state governors who refuse to conduct LG elections in their states.

They read the riot art in a 9 point communique made available to journalists in Awka, signed by 18 out of 25 different political party Chairmen represented in the state .
Reading the communique on behalf of the members,the secretary of IPAC Anambra state and state Chairman do the All Progressive Congress (APC) Barrister Emeka Ibe charged the state governor to expressly provide a supplementary budget that would accommodate the conduct of Local Government election into the 21 LG Areas in the state.
Condemned In strong term what they tagged as a calculated attempt not to  conduct LG elections by not including it in the 2017 appropriate bill sent to the state house of assembly, notes with fact that he should prevail on the assembly, for proper Constitution of the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission ANSIEC.

The body however resolved in his communique to suspend Nobert Obi as IPAC chairman in the state on the allegation that the national body refused to identify him in the just concluded Kuku IPAC workshop.
In a swift reaction, the embattled IPAC chairman, Anambra state, Nobert Obi dissociated self from the impeachable threat, said he remains the authentic chairman of the political party committee in the state.

Nobert Obi, who doubled as the state chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, said the opposition are just trying to foment trouble in the state, reiterate the position of the national body on IPAC as relates sack and imposition of member in acting capacity.
The factional IPAC Anambra state now pledged their loyalty to the leadership of Hon Oby Kate Arinze former deputy chairman to Nobert Obi, said she remains acting chairman, until IPAC national resolve the issue behind the petition filed by the state UPP chairman, for being denied the opportunity to participate in the IPAC election that produced Nobert Obi as the winner of the said election.
