Re-arresting Nnamdi Kanu will jeopardize fragile peace – N’Delta group warns FG, condemns AGF’s comment

A Niger Delta Group under the aegies of the Foundation For Human Rights And Anti-Corruption Crusade, FHRACC, has warned that any moves by the Federal Government of Nigeria to re-arrest the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, will not only be counter productive but will jeopardize the existing fragile peace in the country.
FHRACC National President, Alaowei Cleric, Esq, handed down the warning in statement signed and made available.
“Any moves to arrest him will not only be counter productive but it will also jeopardize the existing fragile unity of the country.”

Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB are demonic, we can’t be part of them – Ijaw youths

A Niger Delta group, South South Legacy Forum has distanced the Ijaw nation from the activities of the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, stressing that the group is demonic.
The group said only a “foolhardy” will fraternized with IPOB which has the sole aim of provoking hate in “order to heighten the miseries precipitated by the forces of corruption in the land.”
Leader of the group, Frank Ogbotobo, who made the remark in a statement, also urged all Ijaw people to behave responsibly in the affairs of Nigeria.
Ogbotobo said, “It is foolhardy for the Ijaw in the Niger Delta to fraternize with demonic forces, whose sole aim is to provoke hate in order to heighten the miseries precipitated by the forces of corruption in the land.

Political party aspirants in the forthcoming Governorship elections in Anambra state have been urged to ensure they give peace a chance and avoid all kinds of violent before, during and after the guber elections.
The appeal was made yesterday by the founder and Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry Uke, Idemmili North local government Area of Anambra State, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma, Ebube Muonso at his Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish, Umudioka, Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State while speaking to newsmen.
Reverend Father Obimma as well asked them to allow the will of God to prevail in the elections to avoid His wrath even as he insisted God has revealed to him who the next Anambra Governor would be but he would not announce it until the opportune time.

NBA STAR DANIEL OCHEFU TO MAKE HIS DEBUT FOR D’TIGERS AT AFROBASKET TOURNAMENT


Nigerian born NBA player, Daniel Ochefu of the Washington Wizards will arrive Lagos this week to play for the first time in his home Country at the Senior National team, D’Tigers. The 23 year old started his career at Westtown School before finishing his studies at Downing Town East high school where he averaged 16 points and 12 rebounds per game as a junior. He went further to play college basketball for Villanova and led his team to win the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship, no wonder he was signed to a three year deal with the Wizards.
Ochefu and his team mates are ready to defend their AfroBasket title as defending Champions come September 8th-16th in Tunisia and Senegal.
