Two-Years In Office: Soludo Has Shown Capacity - NLC Boss, Sir Humphrey Nwafor

The Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Anambra State Chapter, Comrade Sir Humphrey Nwafor, has joined the well-meaning Nigerians to congratulate Professor Chukwuma Soludo as his marked  two years in office on Sunday, 17th March 2024, as the Executive Governor of Anambra State, even as he lauded his ability to provide Physical infrastructure and services which, he said, had impacted on the lives of the people.


The NLC boss further commended the Governor over what he described as his spectacular leadership role in the transformation of Anambra to a modern and one of the leading State in the country, stating that he was impressed with the success recorded so far in the 2 years anniversary of his administration.


  Sir Nwafor who doubles as the Chairman of NASU Anambra State Chapter gave out his commendation and congratulatory message  shortly after the Thanksgiving Mass organized in the honour of the Governor held at International Conference and Convention Centre ICCC Agu-Awka.


  Congratulating the Governor for his numerous achievements, Sir Nwafor said 'few, if any, will dispute the fact that in addition to the provision of physical infrastructure and services, majority of which have positively impacted on the lives of the people, you have given Anambra State people a voice and sense of identity that stand them out.


  'As you strive to perfect your legacy, I wish you, the government and people of Anambra state more fruitful harvest in the years ahead.


  The NLC supremo who commended Governor Soludo for creating the enabling environment for Labour Unions to thrive in the state urged him to act on the recommendations made by Bishop Ezeokafor during his homily at ICC, especially as it affected the State's workforce, adding that workers' welfare should take a centre stage and adequate addressed.



'Soludo deserves every accolade for his support and the peace being experienced by labour unions in the state.


The NLC boss said the recognition of the Governor’s support became necessary because according to him, 'Anambra workers are actually getting their entitlements as and when due. As Oliver Twist, we want some more. We want a better welfare package. Pay rise and better working condition,' he said .


In the same vein, he thanked the Governor for providing the platform for the workers to operate, positing that it was a mark of respect and a thing of honour for the workers as the gesture ensured that they are engaged productively.
