Dele Momodu, a founder of Ovation Magazine and Elderstateman has taken to his official X handle to dismiss claims that the former governor of Anambra State and erstwhile Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was made relevant by the Labor Party. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the party was now in disarray without him.

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate recently took center stage after he announced his defection to the ADC in an event witnessed by a mammoth crowd in Enugu State.

The defection, which sparked massive public attention, was widely believed as a political masterstroke, however, others were of the opinion that the former Anambra governor held no political structures, and wa made relevant by the Labour Party.

In light of this, Dele Momodu, the founder of Ovation Magazine, an Elderstateman and former Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, dismissed such narratives.

According to his statements, he pointed out that the former Anambra governor worked hard and came third during the 2023 presidential elections on the Labour Party platform, and not as a result of the party’s political dominance.

Dele Momodu, to buttress his claims, disclosed that the Labour Party was currently in disarray after the former governor parted ways with them and identified with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
