Pastor Oritsejafor Finally Speak on Alleged $9.3m arms deal

 President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor yesterday ‎broke his silence on the controversy surrounding the confiscated $9.3 million by South Africa, involving his private jet, saying he had no hand in the alleged money laundering deal.Oritsejafor, who spoke during the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of CAN at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, regretted that there had been attempts in the media to link him with the incident by mischievous elements, adding that he had kept quiet all the while because he needed to explain his position to the church, which was his primary constituency.

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo will today formally enrol as a graduate student at the headquarters of the National Open University of Nigeria in Lagos. As part of the celebration of the country’s 54th Independence Anniversary, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state has granted amnesty to a total of 25 prisoners in the state.
The governor who stated this yesterday at Dr. Alex Ekwueme square, Awka, during the ceremony to mark the independence celebration said he took the action after consulting the state Chief Judge, Justice Peter Umeadi saying that those granted amnesty were from the various prisons in the state.
