It is against this background that some residents of Okpoko community in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State recently staged a protest against operatives of the State Anti-Touting Agency (SASA), claiming that they killed some of their residents.

The Ondo state government has faulted the news going round some media platforms that the Acting Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa has frozen local government accounts.The state government described the news as false and misleading. A statement issued by the state Commissioner for information and orientation, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju urged officials of local governments to disregard the rumour.
