  Speaking on the upcoming Anniversary, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze said he felt honoured to interact with newsmen on the occasion of One Year Anniversary of the 8th Anambra State House of Assembly which, he said would take place on the 12th June, 2024, as the 8th Assembly was inaugurated on that date last year following a letter of proclamation to that effect by the Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo,CFR, Governor of Anambra State.

Anambra: Ocha-Brigade Evacuates Road Blocks Obstructing Keke Drivers At Aroma Junction Awka

Members of Anambra State  Keke Drivers Forum (AKDF) have appealed to the State Government to sustain the presence of Ocha Brigade at the Ifite -Aroma park inorder to discourage the blocking of roads.

The members of the group also commended the Managing Director of Ocha Brigade Mr. Celestine Anere for prompt response to their demands of decongesting the roads to ward off miscreants in the name of Keke drivers.

Anambra 8th Legislature Surpassed Achievements Of Predecessors In One Year -- Tony Muobike

The lawmaker representing Aguata 2 State Constituency in the 8th legislature of Anambra State and House of Assembly Committee Chairman on Health Hon. Tony Ifedilichukwu Muobike says the 8th assembly has surpassed the achievements of previous assemblies in just one year. 

Muobike who spoke exclusively with this journalist in his office at the assembly complex Awka, noted that with the vibrant, focussed and result-oriented leadership of Rt.Hon. Somtochukwu Nkemakonam Udeze, the 8th assembly has been able to pass 11 bills into law  in just one year and the laws, according to him, have been assented to by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

Soludo urged to intervene in orders by commissioner to halt investigation of killings in Nanka

 


Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has been called upon to intervene in an alleged order by the commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Matters, Hon Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, halting investigations into killings in Nanka community of Orumba North Local Government Area.

A lawyer, rights activist and industrialist, Mr Chris Chinedu Enemuo who hails from Nanka made the call to the governor in an open petition.

 Contrary to a false viral video trending on the social media where the peddlers claimed that the lawmaker representing Aguata 2 State Constituency in the 8th legislature, Hon. Tony Ifedilichukwu Muobike called Anambra workers Robots, the lawmaker has said that he didn't say such thing neither did he make any denigrating statements against civil servants in the state.
