USE DATA AND EVIDENCE TO HOLD GOVERNMENT TO ACCOUNT – AIYETAN URGES FELLOWS

 


Media professionals have been charged to prioritize data, research and evidence-based reportage in their journalism practice as a way of helping Nigeria overcome some of the challenges which have impeded its growth and development for several decades. 

The Executive Director, International Center for Investigative Reporting (ICIR), Mr Dayo Aiyetan, gave the charge in Abuja during a two-day investigative journalism training on ‘Strengthening Public Accountability for Results and Knowledge’ (SPARK 2) reporting fellowship, organized by ICIR and funded by International Budget Partnership (IBP).

FRSC decorates 10 newly-promoted personnel in Enugu

 


The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has decorated no fewer than 10 newly-promoted personnel serving within Enugu State.

Those decorated with their new ranks after a successful promotion included: three top officers, three middle-level officers and four marshals.

Sports administrator floats a new football club in Aba

 


A Sports Administrator, Ebere Amaraizu, says he has finalised arrangement to float a new football club within Aba axis of Abia.

Amaraizu, who was the former Team Manager of Crime Busters FC, Enugu, told newsmen in Enugu on Wednesday that the new football would be known as Aba United Football Club.

NGO trains faith-based youths on triggers, prevention of GBV in homes, communities

 


An NGO, Hayche Multi Service Solution, has trained male members of faith-based youths' organisations on triggers and prevention of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in homes and communities.

The five-day training, which is a train-the-trainer workshop was organised by Hayche Multi Service Solution working with Christian Youths' Organisations to put an end
