Akpabio, Deputy endorse Ukachukwu, in line with President Tinubu's charge to connect Anambra to the Center

The agenda to get Anambra State connected to the centre through the victory of the All Progressives Congress, APC during the November 8 Governorship Election gathered momentum on Friday, as the APC Governorship candidate for the election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu was endorsed by the APC Senate caucus.

Ukachukwu, alongside the National Chairman of the APC, His Excellency, Abdullahi Ganduje, was received by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin and APC senators from the Southeast.

The meeting, which took place in Abuja, was to reaffirm the senators’ unwavering commitment towards ensuring that APC takes over Anambra State, come November 8 2025.

The endorsement, they noted, is in line with the directive of President Bola Tinubu, when he presented the APC flag to Prince Ukachukwu and his deputy, Senator Uche Ekwunife last month.

This development gives impetus to the overwhelming support which Prince Ukachukwu, a known name in Nigerian politics, has continued to garner, since he emerged the standard bearer of the APC for the Anambra 2025 Governorship Election, on the 5th of April, 2025.

Ever since, Ikukuoma, as Ukachukwu is fondly called, has engaged in consultations and alliances that present him as a formidable force, assured of victory during the November election.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting, an elated Ukachukwu said the task ahead is clear, to get Anambra connected to the centre, to ensure it gets its fair share of benefits from the federation.

Ukachukwu posited that the nation under the leadership of President Tinubu is making steady progress, especially with the quality support provided to it by the Senate under the leadership of Senator Akpabio.

According to him, such collaboration has been the catalyst that is consistently changing the fortunes of the nation for the best.

The business mogul noted that Ndi Anambra have seen the light and are willing to take their destiny in their own hands on the 8th of November, by rejecting the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in the state with their votes.

“Our people are very enlightened and cannot be deceived by the antics of the APGA in Anambra State.

“From the feedback we are getting through a thorough survey we conducted, the people are fed up with the lies and propaganda of the ruling party in the state and are ready to embrace the renewed hope agenda.

“Anambra people are ready to connect to the centre and begin to get their due share of the national benefits. Mushroom political parties cannot and will never get us to the centre stage of national politics.

“APC is the gamechanger and come November 2025, we will all speak with one voice, for the betterment of Anambra, for the enthronement of APC in the state and for the continued leadership of our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Ukachukwu concluded.
