Due to the urgency in the adoption of problem-solving strategies, toward curing the insecurity in Nigeria, it will be unproductive for methods which are deployed to check crises are habitually not effective, effective approaches for problem solving should be diagnostic in application, which naturally give legitimacy to proactive resolutions, which are capable of solving certainties and unforeseen circumstances.

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has appointed Mr. Ladi Akeredolu-Ale, as the Managing Director of Enugu State Broadcasting Service (ESBS).
His appointment was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia in Enugu.

Although the National Commissioners by the end of May 1993 had concluded the tours of the various states within their zones and came back with favourable reports of our state of readiness for the election, I as the Chairman of the Commission, to ensure hitch-free elections, insisted that they must return to the field. Consequently, from June 7, 1993, all eight National Commissioners intensified the tours of the states in their respective zones. These tours were aimed at ensuring that all necessary preparations were in place for the election. They remained in the field from June 7, 1993, till a day or two after the election.
A former Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai (retd.,) has called on the United Nations to declare June 12 as World’s Democracy Day.
