You Are An Autocratic Leader, Nwobu-Alor Tells Umeh


The former Special Adviser to Anambra state government on parks and markets, Chief Sylvester Nwobu-Alor has described the mass exodus of some All Progressives Grand Alliance Political office holders to the People's Democratic Party as an autocratic act of some national officers of the party.

The octogenarian disclosed this in a chat with journalists in Awka. describing the act as inimical and could bring down the long reign of the All Progressive Grand Alliance in the state to a sudden halt, if not urgently looked into.
Chief Nwobualor condemned the medium where an individual would assume the alter-ego of a national party that should represents the general interest of the Igbo race, and called for caution in the interest of the party.
 He however support the alleged mass movement of the federal Representatives of APGA in the state to the People Democratic Party (PDP), said its their constitutional right to declare for a party of their choice but optimistic that the aggrieved members would return to the party if adequate measured to checkmate  perceived autocratic control of the party in put on check.
His word '' Some Members of our party were aggrieved by the conduct of the leadership of the party, and decided to express their grievance.
He said further, I don't think the leadership listened to them and maybe having no alternative but to decide on leaving the party in protest, that I feel could be their major reason of leaving the party''.
Confirming the development on a telephone chat with Ashiwaju.org, the Anambra state chairman of the People's Democratic Party, Chief Ken Emeakaye said he has received four additional letters from some  APGA Federal Legislators, defecting to the PDP and disclosed further that the party would give every interested person the level playing ground to express their support for the national ruling party.
