Vice President Osinbajo, Governor Obiano & Others Honoured By UNILLAG

Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano  was Saturday decorated with distinguished alumni award of the University of Lagos, alongside the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osibajo .

Deccorating the awardees, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Rahman A Bello,  explained that the honour is for its “eminent and worthy Alumni who have distinguished themselves and are currently holding executive political offices in various states.”

He outlined that those with special honorary Awards and Recognition were painstakingly selected among the lots to encourage the worthy Alumni of the institution, serving in various field of their endavour with the view to encourage the young once to aspire to be great like  the awardees.
The Award ceremony, which took place at the Multi-purpose Hall of the institution had in attendance, people from all works, for life, business giants, bank executives both serving and past governors and deputy of different states.
 Other honourees are, HE, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, the governor of Akwa Ibom State, HE Mr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, the governor of Gombe State and HE Mr. Ude Oko Chukwu, the deputy governor of Abia State who are all alumni of the university.
Governor Obiano graduated from the University of Lagos with a Second Class Upper Division in Accounting and followed it up with an MBA in Marketing from the same university.
Obiano has continued to bring honour to his alma mater with an impressive performance since he became the governor of Anambra State with his recent 18-month Scorecard drawing applause across the state and beyond.
