Bishop Ezeokafor Says Nigeria Has Cause to Celebrate

The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship Most Rev. Dr.  Paulinus Ezeokafor has beckoned on all Nigerians to use the period of the country’s 54th Independence Celebration to praise and thank God for the gift of a Nation called Nigeria even as he insists that in spite of the political, religious and terrorism challenges that go with nationhood, Nigeria still has every cause to celebrate.
Bishop Ezeokafor who stated this in his independence message at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka, expressed optimism that the country would soon be ranked among the most safest and economically viable states in the world saying that the Nation had come a long way and cannot afford to lose its sight of sovereignty.

Obiano Urges Moslems Faithful To Embrace Peace

The Governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano has exhorted Moslems to take advantage of the spiritual lessons and blessings of Prophet Muhammed this Sallah season to promote love and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians. 

The governor made the call in Awka in a special Sallah Message to adherents of the Islamic faith in the country.

Obi May Join PDP Next Week

Presidency yesterday finalized plans to receive former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra state and his teaming supports as a member of the PDP on Tuesday 7th, October, 2014 first at his residence in Onitsha before the elaborate feast.
Obi’s wife and the first lady Dame Patience Jonathan gathered finalized allegedly met briefly after her widows foundation launch at Alex Ekwueme square Awka to ensure the plans will work out when members of PDP come visiting on Tuesday and she gave her consent of the visit.

The identity of the man diagnosed with the first case of Ebola virus disease in America on Tuesday September 30th has been revealed. He is 42 year old Eric Duncan, pictured above. According to reports, this was Eric's first trip to the US and he went there to visit some family members. He is believed to have contracted the deadly virus from an infected pregnant woman in Liberia.

I saw the Synagogue Tragedy Coming – TB Joshua



The founder of the Synagogue Church of all Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua, has claimed that he saw a vision of the incident that killed at least 115 persons in the church guesthouse. The victims, mainly South Africans, died when a six-storey guesthouse belonging to the church caved in on September 12.
