Obiano lifts ban on three traditional rulers suspended in Anambra

Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano has lifted the ban on the suspension of three traditional state leaders.

The three traditional rulers were among 12 suspended in September this year for allegedly traveling out of their domain in Abuja, without seeking permission to do so.

COVID-19 ‘Disrupted’ Plans To Amend Constitution, Says Omo-Agege

Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has said the coronavirus pandemic disrupted the plans for votes to be taken on the constitution alteration bills in December 2020.

Omo-Agege who chairs the Senate Ad-hoc Committee on Review of the 1999 Constitution, however, promised that the votes will be taken in a not too distant time.

He said this in a statement titled, “New Year: We must not give in to despair – Omo-Agege’, which was signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yomi Odunuga.

Buhari’s New Year Address, Empty, Directionless – PDP

 

The Peoples Democratic Party has described the 2021 New Year address by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), as empty, directionless and a confirmation that Nigeria is leaderless.

The PDP lamented that the speech by the President addressed nothing but only provided lame excuses and empty promises.

The party said the speech is an indication that compatriots need to come together to salvage Nigeria, adding that the country is fast heading to a failed state.
