There are indications that convicted Boko Haram sect member, Kabiru Umar (aka Kabiru Sokoto) is ready to name organisations and individuals he claims to be sponsors of the terrorist group.
Top security officers at Kuje Prisons, Abuja, where he is serving a life sentence, told Nigerian Pilot that Kabiru Sokoto has indicated his willingness to name the sponsors of Boko Haram.

Like hail, curses have been raining on Samuel Uba, a 65-year-old man in Kalabari Beach, Oguta Local Government Area, Imo State, who is alleged to have committed an abominable act by repeatedly raping his 17-year-old daughter, Hannah Uba and impregnating her in the process. The poor teenager is now saddled with a five-month-old pregnancy.

Governor Shettima Attends Emir's Burial With Over 150 Soldiers

BORNO State governor, Kashim Shettima, left Maiduguri, the state capital, amid tight security, powered by a combined force of about 150 soldiers of the 7 Division, Nigerian Army, Maiduguri; the police special squad and the Civilian JTF, through the 135km deserted Maiduguri-Bama Road to attend the burial of the Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Shehu Mustapha Idris Timta, on Sunday.
The late emir, who was killed by Boko Haram gunmen on Friday, was buried on Sunday in his domain amid tears.

VIDEO: Chibok girls plead for release

A screengrab taken on May 12, 2014, from a video of Nigerian Islamist extremist group Boko Haram obtained by AFP shows girls, wearing the full-length hijab and praying in an undisclosed rural location. Boko Haram released a new video on claiming to show the missing Nigerian schoolgirls, alleging they had converted to Islam and would not be released until all militant prisoners were freed. A total of 276 girls were abducted on April 14 from the northeastern town of Chibok, in Borno state, which has a sizeable Christian community. Some 223 are still missing.
President Goodluck Jonathan has reportedly seen a new video released by Boko Haram, where the abducted school girls of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, spoke about their ordeal in the hands of the insurgents for the first time and pleaded with him to secure their release. 
The girls were reportedly ill and are in camps located in Chad, Niger and Cameroon, with one of them nursing a broken wrist.

INSECURITY: Jonathan Meets Malian Leaders, Senealese Clerics

President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday met with the President of Mali, Muhammadou Keita in continuation of consultations to solve the problems of insurgency in Northern Mali and Northeastern Nigeria.
NAN reports that the meeting was held behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Addressing State House Correspondents after the meeting, Keita said: “I have come to meet my brother on the issue of insecurity, to see what we can do, that is why I am here.”

The apex bank, in October 2009, removed the managing director/chief executive of the bank, Mr. Francis Atuche, citing high level of non-performing loans arising from poor corporate governance practices, lax credit administration processes and non-adherence to the bank’s credit risk management guidelines.
