Clergy Urges Nigerians To Cohabite Peacefully

The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese His Lordship Most Revd.Dr. Paulinus
Ezeokafor has prayed for God to touch the hearts of the Boko Haram sects so
that they would desist from killing innocent Nigerians especially as the world
entered the Easter season.
Bishop Ezeokafor made the prayers yesterday in Awka while briefing newsmen. He said that the recent Nyanya bomblast and abduction of secondary school girls by the terrorist group were serious transgressions against mankind and God but the least one can do was to continue to seek the face of God in the midst trials and tribulations.

The cleric admonished Nigerians to be watchful this Easter period and be
conscious of happenings arround them. He said Easter was the highest feast in
the christendom and that christians should be courageous inspite of teething
security challenges in the country adding that they should imbibe the spirit of
the beatitudes of meekness and a host of others in approaching the harsh
realities of life .
Bishop Ezeokafor also admonished christians to use the Easter celebration to
rise above cold feet and brace-up as Nigeria was not the only country with
security problems. He noted that the leaders were making efforts to contain
security setbacks in the country but more proactive effort was required to
tackle the Boko Haram insurgency in the north-eastern zone of the nation even
though there is no perfect society.
The cleric also commended the momentum with which the state governor Dr.Willie Obiano was developing the state with just one month in office as governor. He said that in the past security has not been wonderful in Anambra state but the governor has restored people's confidence in security especially with the feat he achieved in Onitsha and its  environs,  urging the state citizenry
to cooperate with the governor as he was determined to take the state to the

next level .
