The National Congress Supervisory Committee of the All Progressive Congress has condemned the congresses held in Anambra State and demanded for fresh congresses in the ward, local government and state levels.
This was disclosed by the secretary of the state congress committee to newsmen in Awka.
To address issues arising from the congresses held in the state , the National Working Committee of APC has assigned a State Congress Committee to put an end to the rancor in the party.
The nine man committee was saddled with the responsibility to reconcile the differences among the party members and conduct fresh congresses.
Speaking to journalist shortly after the meeting, the embattled National Vice President, South of the party says he is optimistic that the committee will carry out the necessary investigations to resolve the lingering issues.
Denying their awareness in a text message ,The chairman of the Senator Chris Ngige's faction of the party , Barrister Emeka Ibe claims they are not aware of any cancelled congresses as congresses have been concluded since last Saturday, the 26th of April, 2014
The committee is to report to the party within the week for a new date to be fixed to reconduct the congresses in the state.
