A three-year-old boy shot his mother dead while she was changing her baby daughter’s nappy in their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.
According to local medai, Christa Engles, the mother of two was shot in the head with a ‘large calibre’ weapon. It was later discovered that a toddler found a loaded semi-automatic handgun under the sofa and pulled the trigger several times till his mother fell down on the floor.
After a while Engles’ mother came home and found her daughter lying in the pool of blood. She immediately called the police who investigated the crime scene and took the boy for interview. A large collection of guns was reportedly found in the house following the shooting.
The 26-year-old woman was rushed to hospital in a critical condition where she was confirmed dead. Her husband later took to Facebook to say, “I lost my Wife to an accident yesterday. Don’t forget to tell your loved ones they are loved. You really never know when the last I love you really is the last.”
Both the Engles children have been turned over to family members, but experts say their healing process has only just begun.
