Information has its that Senator Ugochukwu Uba first went to the senate and later gave way for his brother , Andy Uba and now Chief Chris Uba is gearing for the senate to replace Andy. The senate is a family property and nobody dares them even when Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu won, Chris Uba showed him ‘muscle’ and his brother was sworn in. And their stooges are in most of the constituencies slots in the National Assembly and state House of Assembly. Will Chris Uba succeed?

Uba, who spoke at his Udoka residence, Awka, said: “Representatives of the people should be able to feel the heartbeats of the people and ensure that the people feel robustly fine and healthy within the contractual period.”
He said he had observed that over the years, what most politicians do is to detach themselves from the masses shortly after elections, thereby subjecting the masses to untold hardship.
He said the situation needs to be changed, as according to him, “power belongs to the people and not to the politicians.” He said for this reason, he had to purchase the form for Anambra South senatorial district to contest in the primaries of the party on Sunday.
He said: “It’s not true that I’m at war with brother Andy, over this bid. But this is politics; everybody has his interests and objectives to accomplish in life. I think I have helped so many people to actualise their ambitions and be great, so that they could help others, but I think most people are selfish and greedy.
“This time, I want to go there myself and help the less privileged in the seven local government areas that make up my constituency and beyond. As I drive pass each time, I notice that many people are suffering without hope and this is the time to change the situation.”
He promised to donate his salary throughout his tenure to a board of trustees in his district if elected, saying he is determined to use his position for the overall interest of the people.
