Shinkafi, Ajibola emerge as APGA, PDP gov candidates for Zamfara, Kwara States

The National Secretary of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the party in Zamfara State.
Shinkafi was unanimously endorsed by all the delegates of the party during their primaries held at the Gusau Airport in the state capital.
In Kwara State, the Senator representing Kwara South in the National Assembly, Suleiman Simeon Ajibola also emerged the gubernatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state for the 2015 general elections.
Ajibola will slug it out with the incumbent Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed also from the area during the election.

However, the APGA election in Zamfara State was peaceful, also saw the emergence of contestants of various elective offices unopposed.
Speaking shortly after he was adopted, Abdullahi explained that he would do his best to ensure total transformation of the state if elected governor next year. He said that he joined the race in order to save the people of the state from the ruins brought upon it by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
According to him, the people of the state had for long been crying for change following the difficulties being encountered due to alleged poor leadership of the APC.
“I want to tell you that I have not joined this race to get enrich my self but to contribute my quota in bringing down the level of hardship and poverty faced by the majority of people. It is disheartening that despite the existence of government, our people are killed on daily basis, while a number of children of school age can not go to school due to lack of concern from the side of the government,” he said.
Abdullahi also assured the entire people of the state of his readiness and determination towards putting an end to joblessness which he said was one of the reasons why the rate of crime had increased in the state.
“So long as we continue to ignore our teeming youths roaming the streets without jobs, we will continue to have problems, and that is why my government will give more priority to this sector so that we can have responsible future leaders,” Abdullahi added.
He therefore asked the people of the state to assist him, so that, together the set goals would be achieved.
