Victor Umeh Gets Additional 120 Days Elongation as APGA National Chairman

The embattled National Chairman of the All Progressive  Grand Alliance, (APGA) Chief Sir Victory Umeh has succeeded having additional 120 days elongation of tenure by a special special convention held in Awka.
Over Ten thousand  delegates throng Awka, Anambra state capital from the 36 states and the  FCT  to show their solidarity for the present led APGA exco and ratified that additional days should be considered in the bid to install a purposeful leadership that would stair the affairs of the party from 2015 onward.
Moving a vote of endorsement for  elongation of tenure for the serving APGA excos by voice vote, the deputy governor of Anambra state, Dr. Nkem Okeke raised the motion to call for an endorsement that would make the present exco have time to concentrate on the coming elections for those contesting and suggested that at least not less than four months should be consider, which will start at the expiration of their tenure that should end on February 10, 2014, from national.down to the ward level.
Though, it was unanimously endorsed by all, but only had one dissenting vote coming from the wife of the Late national APGA leader, Ambassador Bianca Odimegwu Ojukwu, who frowned at the the move by making a loud negative vote to the admiration of all.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the convention, the Nigeria Ambassador to Spain and wife to the Baifran  Learder, Ambassador Bainca Ojukwu expressed disappointment in the ratification and described the move to elongate the tenure of Chief Victor Umeh and others as undemocratic, injustice and  sit-tight mentality but buoyed to resist it in all ramification.
The widow of the late Igbo leader dissociated herself from the  endorsement and called on the leaders to allow others have their own share in the sphere of national development.
Though her lonely voice could not effect a change, because the majority would always have their say, but she vowed to resist injustice and be heard as the only voice that moved against  such undemocratic endorsement, in the interest of justice and fair play to all.
The position of Board of Trustee chairman (BoT), that was formally  regretted by the immediate past governor of Anambra state, Chief Peter Obi, was therefore formerly ratified and bestowed on the governor of the state, chief Willie Obiano by unanimous voice votes in his favour.
The expulsion of Chief Checkwas Okorie as the founder of the party and amendment to allow members to occupy double political offices  and other national issues were amended in their constitution.
While the position of APGA presidential candidate  conceded to President Godluck Ebele Jonathan to be their flag bearer in the 2015 election was also unanimously endorsed by the delegates.
