Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council In Anambra Appoints Prof Okonkwo Member

The Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council of the Labour Party, LP, has appointed a Professor of Environmental Law, Professor Theodore Okonkwo as a member of the council.

Okonkwo, is a renowned Politician from Oraukwu in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

He had at various times between 1981 to 2012, cut his political teeth in the defunct NAP, NPN, NPP, CNC, SDP, the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) and now the Labour Party, LP.

In 2014, Okonkwo played a crucial role in garnering the votes of people of Idemili North and South towards the victory of the APGA governorship candidate, Chief Willie Obiano, due to his wide acceptance.

In 2015 and 2019, Okonkwo had a very close shot at clinching the APGA ticket for the Idemili North and South House of Representatives seat.

He was however robbed of the ticket over very unclear circumstances.

Prof Okonkwo was later acknowledged and appeased in recognition of his capacity and political influence in his constituency, Idemili North and South Federal Constituency.

With his latest appointment, Okonkwo proves a viable pillar in ensuring victory for the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi in his efforts to win majority votes in Anambra State.

Okonkwo will also be looking to leverage his acceptance across various political parties to win popular votes for Obi, who has become the beautiful bride for the Nigerian populace, in their efforts to engender a new change in the administration of affairs in the country.
