Obiano Grants 13 inmates state Pardon, 5 accelerated bail conditions.

Anambra state governor Willie Obiano yesterday , grants amnesty to 13 inmates and express bail conditions to 5 at Nnewi Prisons.
He said his administration embarks on the Constitutional  exercise to give hope to the hopeless and decongest the state Prisons .
Speaking shortly after the excercise at Nnewi Prisons, the governor who was represented by Justice Mrs. IKEM Onwumegbu stressed that the Constitution gives state governor leave to grant state pardon to longest serving inmates who had not been convicted in any court,,  inmates charged with capital offences but have stayed beyond 150 days without being tried in court, are liable to bail condition as well as granted state pardon to prisoners who had been discharged but not able to meet the bail conditions.

The victory parade which starts from the Ifeanyi Ubah FC Stadium at Ozobulu, Nnewi North LGA, had in attendance, football fan across the state, thronged the stadium to share their footboll club for winning the 2016 Federation cup trophy by deafiting Nasarawa Unted 5-4.
From Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium, Nnewi to the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia where the trophy was presented to Governor Obiano before touring other parts of the state and back to the stadium.

Anambra Government Promises To Sustain War Against Hepatitis Disease

Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano says it will sustain the fight against Hepatitis by providing improved vaccination for screening and immunization facilities throughout the 21 LGAs in the state
