There Will Be Chaos If Jonathan Does Not Contest 2015 Election– Dr.FASEHUN

The leader of Odua Peoples Congress (OPC), Dr. Fredrick Fasehun, has stated that there might be crisis in Nigeria if out of pressure President Goodluck Jonathan drops his ambition for second term in office.
Fasehun who is also the National Chairman of the newly registered Unity Party of Nigeria, said the president has a constitutional right to contest the 2015 presidential election.
“Since there is a provision in the constitution for a second term in office, Jonathan has the right to re-contest and nobody should mount pressure on him to drop the ambition,” he said.“The militant group in the Niger-Delta may return to the creeks if the President is denied the opportunity in 2015,” he warned.
Fasehun claimed that he has never been very close to Jonathan but believed that the President has done his best for the country which only the electorate should be the ones to decide whether he should be re-elected for second term in office or not.
“They did not deny Obasanjo or Shagari why should Jonathan be denied,” he queried.
He further stated that the president should not be blamed for the security challenges like the Boko Haram insurgency facing the country because it predates the present administration.
