A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, Today ruled against formation of caretaker committee to oversee the affairs of the People Democratic party operation pending the substantive elected official of the national Officers will assume office.
Delivering his judgement, Justice Ibrahim Buba ruled that the caretaker committee imposed on the party by the PDP governors is illegal.
The caretaker committee was set up to replace the National Chairman Ali Modu Sheriff. In his ruling Mr. Buba authorized the Inspector General of the Police, Solomon Arase, to ensure members of the caretaker committee did not violate his mandate.
