NDLEA Anambra Takes Anti Drug Campaign To University

AS part of activities mapped out  to reduce the level of drug trafficking in Anambra state, the state command of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency has taken the enlightenment outreach to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Addressing the students on the danger inherent in drug abuse and trafficking, the state commander of the NDLEA, Anambra Command Sule Momodu warned the students not to hesitate to report any of their colleagues involve in sale of drug to their fellow students,

He took time to explain efforts made by the state command to ensure the state’s pariah image of drug trafficking to restructured.
The students who were in their primes were astonished to hear the ratio and indices which placed their age grade as the most venerable in drug related offences.
Speaking to the students, Sule Momodu taught them on how to approach someone with drug related life style as the universally recognized manner to draft drug addict out to drug addiction lifestyle.
He explained that the command would Assist any student with vital information on how to arrest people selling drugs to them, without disclosing their identity .

Dean Students Affairs, expressed worry that though the state still maintain its status as the state with highest number of drug traffickers in the country, revealed that was the reason the command decided to take the campaign to students in their schools to join the command in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking.

The students bared their mind on the lecture, but urged the NDLEA command to ensure they sustain the advocacy lecture that would hasten the fight against drug related offences in the institution,

The NDLEA anti drug campaign was borne out of the drive to catch them young and inculcate the idea of living  a drug free life style in the society,
