Efforts to capture the missing Kano Zoo Lion has been unsuccessful more than 24 hours since it escaped its enclosure. Authorities had since suspended the search for the animal as night sets in.
Managing Director of the Zoo, Usman Gwadabe says normal activities would resume at dawn. According to him, the animal resisted two transquilisers during the day which made its sedation slow.
Already, some zoological experts from the Abuja National Park have arrived the zoo to complement efforts of the teams on ground.
Management of the Zoological Garden appealed to residents to remain calm as all efforts to capture the escaped animal alive is on course.
