Kebbi State APC Suspends Caretake Chairman, Two Other Executive Members

Governor Bagudu Endorses Action  Receives State Party Leadership 

The All Progressives Congress in Kebbi state has  suspended it's caretaker Chairman, Bala Sani Kangiwa and other three executives  members of the party following  the legal advised from the party legal adviser as a result of allegations level against the party executives. 


The other two suspended  party executives include the caretaker treasurer of the party, Garba Musa Tungan Marina and the party caretaker Financial Secretary,  Aliyu Bature.



According to a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Yahaya Sarki, the  suspended party executives have since been replaced by other officials in acting capacity.


The  executive members of the party  at state and local government levels led  new Acting Caretaker Chairman,  Abubakar Muhammad Kana and two  other  executive members to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu following the suspension of the former Caretaker Chairman,  Bala Sani Kangiwa and other two executives by the party.


 The party leaders have also affirmed loyalty and support to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu  and his people oriented administration. 


Speaking to newsmen immediately after the visit, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu commended them for their loyalty to the party and adherence to its constitutional provisions.


Governor Bagudu appealed to all APC members to continue to sustain their support to government and party leadership .


The governor endorsed the decision and action taken by the leadership of APC at state level which affected four executive members of the party, acknowledging that the measure was in line with its constitutional provisions on disciplinary matters .


The governor urged all stakeholders and other APC members to remain peaceful and work hard towards the success of the party in every election.


The  Acting Chairman  Abubakar Muhammad Kana while speaking  thanked members of the party for reposing confidence on him and assured the governor of their unflinching support to his administration.


 The Assistant Caretaker Secretary of the party, Zaiyanu Aliero narrated the circumstances that led to the suspension of the former caretaker State Chairman,  Bala Sani Kangiwa, the former Treasurer Garba Musa Tungan Marina and the former Financial Secretary, Aliyu Bature.


He informed the governor that committee was set up to investigate allegations against them and were given fair opportunity to defend themselves in accordance with the party constitution but failed to do so.


Consequently, the party leadership authorized the suspension of the three executive members after obtaining legal advice from the party's legal adviser.


On the former caretaker Public Relations Officer it the party, Sani Dododo, the party's scribe say he  resigned from his position on his own volition  and was not part of those that  allegations was leveled against them.
