The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Women for Good Governance, Anambra State chapter, call for credible, free and fair general election on February, in order to sustain and deepen the nation’s emerging democracy.
Speaking on behalf of the group , the Coordinator APGA Women for Good Governance Anambra State chapter, Mrs. Grace Chike said the success of the forthcoming presidential election would boost Nigeria’s global democratic image and bring honour and dignity  to the nation once seen as the giant of Africa and arsenal of democracy in the sub-region.
She urged INEC to be firm and decisive in conducting the polls and give equal opportunity to all participating political parties.

'The integrity of the commission’s
Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega is at stake in this crucial election that will test the nation’s democratic process. We further urge politicians to play by the electoral rules and guidelines as stipulated in the Electoral Act and the 1999 constitution as amended.'It is time to eschew bitterness and
violence, and imbibe issue-based politics that will enhance the nation’s frail democratic encounter, ' she said.
Mrs. Chike said even though they advocate for active participation of women in politics and elections, they would not condone uncouth utterances of some female candidates like Princess Stella Oduah, who they said in launching her senatorial campaign at Central school, Omor, Ayamelu LGA, Anambra state enjoined what they described as rented crowd not to be intimidated by the ruling APGA in the State and that he described the Party's cockerel symbol as bird flu.
According to her , they would not join issues with former aviation minister  noting that APGA Tsunami had
since torn the PDP’s umbrella in the state since 2006 former Governor Peter Obi assumed office on the Party’s platform and performed creditably well and Governor Willie Obiano had sustained and would surpass his predecessor’s
developmental projects.
She reiterated their support for the candidature of Chief Victor Umeh for Anambra Central Senatorial seat and described him as the man of the people with impeccable character and political savvy to effectively represent the zone and deliver democratic dividends to the good people of
Anambra central.
