South East, South South members of Miyetti Allah cattle breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) have promised to cooperate with their host communities to end insecurity that involves farmers and herdsmen clashes in the zones.
The group promised to avail itself in the service of  security, seeking to be included in the local vigilante group to enable them apprehend intruders who might want to disguise selves as cattle breeders to cause mayhem on communities within their coverage.
The disclosure was made public at a stakeholders meeting, having representatives from south east and south south who converged on Awka, to provide solution that will secure their territory from marauders invasion.  

The group vowed to cooperate with the host communities to end the senseless killings of innocent Nigerians.Among the measures put up by the group to stem the wave of insecurity, was the request by the herders to be included in the local vigilante group , plans they decode would unravel most of the skirmishes that might arise from herders invasion and discourage the spate of killings in that part of the country .The struggle for access and control of lands over which roaming herdsmen graze their cattle has led to conflict with local farmers all over the country, resulting in the death of hundreds just this year alone with herders credited with a majority of unprovoked attacks.
These groups of cattle breeders in the South South and South East have promised to assist their state governments to discourage killings of Innocent Nigerians in these two regions.
