Governor
Willie Obiano’s Commissioner for Housing, Lawrence Chinwuba has lambasted the All
Progressives Congress for always being in the habit of raising false alarm.
Chinwuba in
response to press statement from APC in Anambra circulating online alleging
that INEC is working with state government and federal government to make cards
enter wrong hands for 2015 elections.
His words: ’’You
are always connected with raising false alarm to score cheap publicity. Please
stop this trade mark of APC because it has not worked and will not work now’’.
He described
the publicity secretary of Anambra state All Progressives Congress Okelo
Madukaife of being in the habit of raising
false alarm.
The Okelo statement
went thus:
Our great party- All Progressives Congress (APC) has uncovered a
heinous plot by corrupt officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission
(INEC), working in collaboration with two parties currently occupying
incumbency positions in Anambra State Government and the Federal Government to seat on cards meant to be issued out to Anambra State citizens under a guise that will make the cards re-surface in the wrong hands during the general elections next year.
Some of the excuses that have been proposed for use are fading
photographs, stained paper cards, and in some cases n0o
reason at all. Areas targeted in this condemnable plot include, Onitsha South,
Idemili North, Ihiala.
