The Police Command in Anambra has pledged to maintain absolute neutrality and professionalism in the state while providing security during the Feb. 16 and March 2 general elections.
The Anambra state Commissioner of Police, Garba Baba Umar gave this assurance at a meeting with the Electoral Stakeholders and signing of Peace Accord at the Command Headquarters in Amawbia.

Ngige Describes Ohaneze’s Resolution as Partisan



The Nigeria’s Minster of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige has described the endorsement of the People’s Democratic party candidate, Atiku Abubakar by the  Ohaneze Ndigbo as motley congregation of party men, that hurriedly took a decision  without due consultation of the real Ime-Obi Ohaneze Ndigbo.
The minister said the meeting was a congregation of party men in Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide, constituted upon by the President General of the union in isolation of nonmembers of the People Democratic Party, implicitly done to pass their resolution in favour to the opposition candidate.
The minister stated this in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Awka, said the purported decision of Ohanese Ndigbo endorsing Atiku Abubakar of the PDP as Ndigbo choice was a distraction and should be disregarded by well-meaning Igbo sons and daughters.

The leadership of the Ohaneze Ndigbo youths wing worldwide has commended the decision of their parent body for endorsing the joint ticket of the People’s Democratic party presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his vice Sir Peter Obi as the choice of Ndigbo in the February 16th 2019 presidential election.
They said the decision will resonate positive feelings for Ndigbo who before now were yet to decide of who to vote for the in the next month presidential election.
The Ohaneze youths wing worldwide made the resolution at the national executive meeting held at Nike Lake Hotel Enugu state, promised to carry out the resolution of their parent body to the later, to ensure Ndigbo speak with one voice in the forthcoming general elections.

These may not be the best of days for Adrian Woods, former MTN Nigeria Chief Executive as the majority shares owners of 9Mobile seem to be reconsidering their business relationship with him over allegations of double deal with their fiercest competitors and other scandals.
 Woods is also accused of sidelining Nigerian experts in the company, preferring instead to deal with European employees of the company for which some insiders see him as a racist.  
According to reliable sources, Adrian Woods and the company he formed with some of his colleagues Teleology may be axed from 9Mobile where they own minority stake as sources allege he failed to meet his own part of the deal.
